Overview

Alexander Weddings wanted a pool of short, punchy adverts to get more couples booking site visits. That meant content made for the phone in your hand - shot in portrait, cut fast and built to stop the scroll. Each space needed to shine on its own, while still adding up to one complete picture of the venue.
Showing couples their day before it's even happened Tucked away near Northallerton, Henry Lake is the kind of wedding venue that stops you in your tracks. An outdoor ceremony spot set between two lakes, the Big Teepee for the party, a decking area looking out over the water, a wedding village for guests to stay over, and a cottage on the hill for getting ready. Lawrence Alexander and the team had built something special. They needed content that made couples feel it before they'd even visited.

The Challenge

A venue like this lives or dies on how it looks, so we planned the day around the sun. We were on site from 5am, moving through the venue in the order the light hit it - the wedding village first while the shadows were long, then the Teepee and decking as the morning sun came round, the ceremony area next, and the cottage last. Aerials and gimbal work first at every location, detail shots after. Early start, but every frame was worth it.
Rather than one long video, we built a library. A hero edit shows off the whole site in a few seconds flat, with separate short films for each space - the ceremony area from every angle, the Teepee ready for the party, the village ready for guests. It gives Alexander Weddings the flexibility to run different ads for different couples, and keep their feed fresh for months.

The Solution

Couples don't book a venue for the car park. They book it because they can picture their day there. So we steered the content away from seat counts and spec lists, and towards emotion. We also created a reading montage - shots from across the venue paired with a wedding reading - designed to give couples that lump-in-the-throat moment that makes them pick up the phone.

We know that a venue isn't really what couples are buying. They're buying a feeling, a memory and the best day of their lives. Our job is to show them that day before it's happened, so the only thing left to do is book.

Performance Results

If you run a venue that deserves to be seen, we'd love to help. From early starts to emotional edits, we'll make sure couples fall for it from the very first frame. Got a venue worth falling for? Let's talk.
